75 per cent of Mandurah, Rockingham yet to vote in local government election

With only days remaining until the local government election, about 75 per cent of eligible voters in the City's of Mandurah and Rockingham are yet to return their ballots.

According to the WA Electoral Commission, of the 74,078 postal voting packages sent out to voters in the City of Mandurah, only 19,736 or 26 per cent have been returned as of October 15.

In the City of Rockingham, only 25,162 or 25.5 per cent of ballots have been returned out of 98,375.

It is now too late to post back ballots, but voters can still drop them into the City of Mandurah's admin building on Peel Street before Friday, October 17 or at the Mandurah Seniors Centre on election day, October 18.

In Rockingham, postal voting papers can be delivered to the City's admin building on Civic Boulevard.

Replacement packages can also be collected from the either City's admin buildings.
