Community members are being invited to get involved in an archaeological dig at Mandurah's Hall's Cottage alongside professional archaeologists.
The dig will run from Friday, May 3 to Sunday, May 5, with two test pits being excavated at the site on Leighton Place in Halls Head.
Participants will be able to analyse and record artefacts under the guidance of archaeologists.
Small-scale hands-on excavations, perfect to introduce children to archaeology, will also be available.
Hall's Cottage was built in 1833 by Henry Edward Hall.
He was the first person to develop a fishing industry in the Mandurah District.
