Rockingham and Mandurah will be hosting Australia Day celebrations on Monday, January 26.
Rockingham
There will be plenty to do in Rockingham on Australia Day with a free, family friendly event and fireworks on the foreshore.
The entertainment starts from 5pm and includes stage performances headlined by Peppa Pig, live music from six-piece band SWITCH and local acts along with roaming entertainment, kids activities, amusement rides and food vendors.
The fireworks display will start at 8.30pm.
On the morning of Australia Day the City of Rockingham’s Community Citizen of the Year Awards will be presented at the Gary Holland Community Centre, and then 116 people will officially become Australian Citizens.
“Australia Day is a chance for everyone to come together and celebrate what makes our country and community special. I’m looking forward to seeing lots of people coming to the Rockingham Beach foreshore to enjoy an evening of free entertainment at one of our most beautiful locations," Mayor Lorna Buchan said.
