Cat missing for seven months reunited with Dawesville owner

A cat that went missing from her Dawesville home seven months ago has been reunited with its owner.

A holidaymaker reported a stray cat that was on her property to the City of Mandurah Rangers.

Rangers were then able to scan the cat's microchip which allowed them to contact its owner.

"Tiddles was extremely hungry & scared, but luckily was microchipped!," the City of Mandurah posted on their Facebook page.

"We were able to reunite Tiddles with her ecstatic owner (just look at that smile!) 😊

"It was an emotional & happy reunion on Saturday at our Animal Care Facility."

The City encourages locals to report any stray cats to the Rangers on 9550 3777.

They also urge residents to get their animals microchipped so they can be safely returned if they go missing.
