City of Kwinana releases exciting lineup of summer events

The City of Kwinana is kicking off their summer event season this October with two major events.

The Kwinana Summer Sounds Concert in the Park is back on October 8 at Honeywood Oval with a huge lineup of live entertainment, food trucks, and kids activities. 

Community members can enjoy this free family-friendly event with special performances from 90s duo Claire Fahie and Jordan Anthony, solo-spectacular Ari Davis, and local Maori group Ngaru Pou.

Summer Sounds will then be followed by Spooky Saturday on October 29 at The Zone. 

This special Halloween event will feature a maze, scare zone and a monster mayhem dance party.

City of Kwinana Mayor, Carol Adams, said these are just the first two events to kick off the City’s events season for the 2022/23 summer. 

“The Kwinana community can expect a full events schedule this summer featuring not only these events but also, Get in the Grove! Food truck series coming on Saturday, 19 November, Light Up the Square Christmas lights event on Friday 2 December and of course what is a Kwinana events season without its annual Lolly Run running from the 17 to the 23 December 2022,” Mayor Adams said. 

“The new year will then bring even more events including a youth movie night, Summer Sounds Bertram, Alcoa Children’s Festival and OMG! Fringe.”
