Locals have rallied around an 87-year-old Dudley Park man who was knocked unconscious during a terrifying home invasion.
** UPDATE: Three juvenile males were taken into custody on Monday evening, and are assisting police with their inquiries. **
Jerome Gerovich was woken by a number of offenders who had broken into his home on Denham Street in the early hours of Saturday morning.
He went to investigate when one of the offenders hit him in the back of the head, knocking him out.
Mr Gerovich regained consciousness to find his house of over 20 years had been ransacked.
While he recovers at Peel Health Campus, generous neighbours and the wider community have come together to help support the 87-year-old.
"We've got food coming, we've got security cameras gifted, I've got the lawns done and a nice lady on Facebook is going to deliver some wood for winter for him," Neighbour Jay Ford told 9NEWS.
Mandurah Detectives are still hunting for the offenders.
Anyone with information should contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
