Coodanup giant set to be rebuilt

Thomas Dambo's team are heading back to Mandurah to replace the Giant sculpture at Coodanup Reserve.

The Mandurah community was devastated when Giant 'Vivi Cirkelstone' was damaged by fire in December last year.

A new Giant will now be constructed at Coodanup Reserve to replace her.

Thomas Dambo and his team will return to Mandurah in May to begin the construction of the newest Giant and the local community is being invited to join in.

Community members can volunteer to join the construction and installation of the Giant, which will be taking place between May 8 and 15.

The Giants of Mandurah has already proven to be a huge success, with the Mandurah Visitor Centre recording a 400 per cent increase in visitors.

The Giants will remain on display until at least November.
