A driver has miraculously survived a crash in Mandurah after his car split in half following an alleged high-speed pursuit.
The man was spotted by police allegedly driving recklessly in a Holden Commodore at the intersection of Stinton Street and Blakeley Street around 12.50am on Friday.
The 24-year-old man allegedly failed to stop for officers and after a short chase he lost control of the car and crashed into a wall on Mandurah Terrace.
The force of the collision split the car in two.
St John Ambulance crews took the Mandurah man to Royal Perth Hospital with minor injuries.
He is understood to be in a stable condition.
The 24-year-old has been charged with two counts of reckless driving, one count of failing to comply with a direction to stop and one count of no authority to drive.
He will appear in court at a later date.
