Firefighters have managed to gain the upper-hand on a bushfire burning in Hopeland.
Crews were called out to the fire near the intersection of Westcott Road and Henderson Road in Hopeland around 1.40am on Monday.
It took them nearly an hour to bring the blaze under control which burnt through around seven hectares.
The fire remains at an advice level and the cause is not yet known.
Residents bounded by Henderson Road to the north, Westcott Road to the east, Elliott Road to the south and Hopeland Road to the west are being urged to stay alert as the situation may change.
Firefighters are now patrolling the area and mopping up.
