The Mandurah Magic men have made club history, winning their first ever NBL1 West championship against the Willetton Tigers at RAC Arena.
The Magic won by just two-points in front of 6460 people on Saturday night, a victory that many thought wouldn't happen following the 2023 season where they finished at the bottom of the ladder.
Under coach Mark Utley, the Magic recruited star imports Joel Murray and Michael Durr, a move that would help push the team to fourth on the ladder in 2024 and ultimately a maiden grand final appearance.
It was neck-and-neck for majority of the game, before Murray scored the match winner in the dying seconds, sealing the 91-89 victory.
His efforts earned him another MVP trophy.
The Magic will now head to the NBL1 National Finals in Queensland.
