The Greenfields community are today mourning the death of a three-year-old boy who drowned in his backyard swimming pool.
The toddler's family initially reported him missing from his Kookaburra Drive home on Thursday afternoon.
Police began a search for the boy before he was discovered in the pool a short time later.
St John Ambulance paramedics arrived at the scene around 2.05pm but sadly the toddler could not be revived.
His death is not being treated as suspicious and a report will be prepared for the coroner.
