Local businesses and community members have rallied behind staff and students at Comet Bay College after a fire tore through multiple classrooms at the Secret Harbour high school earlier this month.
The school was closed for two days after the fire on June 8, which caused significant damage to the English and Humanities and Social Sciences block.
A 15-year-old boy has since been charged with criminal damage by fire and burglary.
The College has received an outpouring of support with several local businesses including Secret Harbour Coles and Woolworths, Spud Shed owner Tony Galati, The Secret Harbour Butchers and Secret Harbour Primary School donating food and other items.
"The outpouring of support has been phenomenal and is a testament to our community spirit. We thank you all!," a College spokesperson said.
"Parents, students and community members far and wide have been sending well-wishes and offers of help to the College via email and our social media pages. We have broadcast these messages to all staff across our College televisions as they are the words we all needed to read when things have seemed overwhelming."
