Homicide Squad detectives have charged a 20-year-old man with murder following an incident in Warnbro on Sunday 6 February 2022.
About 4pm, it will be alleged the man engaged in an altercation with the victim and shot him in the leg.
The man and the victim reside at the same address.
The victim was later located by a friend and emergency services were called. He was conveyed to Royal Perth Hospital, however, died on Monday 7 February 2022.
A search warrant was later executed at an address in Waikiki where the firearm was located and seized.
The 20-year-old man has been charged with one count of murder and will appear in the Rockingham Magistrates Court today, Tuesday 8 February 2022.
