A 55-year-old man has died after his motorcycle hit a semi-trailer in Rockingham yesterday afternoon.
The man was travelling along Ennis Avenue on a Kawasaki motorcycle around 1.45pm on Tuesday, January 10.
After turning onto Dixon Road the motorcycle struck the rear of a Holden Jackaroo in the right lane of Dixon Road, before subsequently hitting a supermarket semi-trailer in the left lane.
Police shut down Dixon Road eastbound at Ennis Avenue while emergency services attended to the scene.
The rider received critical injuries as a result of the crash and tragically died at the scene.
