The State Government has revealed new COVID clusters in WA including one in Safety Bay.
There are currently nine cases linked to the Safety Bay cluster with exposure sites at two chemists, Woolworths and Jesters in Waikiki.
Other clusters include Manning, Willagee, Coolbellup, Cockburn and Haynes.
On Sunday, WA recorded 24 new local COVID cases with Health Minister Amber-Jade Sanderson conceding the Omicron strain is here to stay.
“I think it’s clear that we are not going to eliminate Omicron,” she said.
“It’s now about how we suppress and manage Omicron.”
People in Perth, Peel and the South West are now being urged to get tested if they have COVID symptoms, even if they have not visited an exposure site.
“There is Omicron in our community, this is serious and high levels of testing and quarantine is our best chance to help minimise the spread and to manage this outbreak,” Ms Sanderson said.
