Newly redeveloped Stan Twight Reserve Clubrooms unveiled

The newly redeveloped clubrooms at Stan Twight Reserve in Rockingham have been unveiled.

The Stan Twight Reserve Pavilion features gender-inclusive changerooms, a social space,  kitchen, kiosk, and a variety of other spaces to support local sporting clubs.

City of Rockingham Mayor Lorna Buchan said the $7 million upgrade is a game-changer for local sports.

“For decades, Stan Twight Reserve has been the backdrop for unforgettable match days. This redevelopment ensures those memories continue, in a space designed to meet the current and future needs of players, families and supporters," she said.

Originally built in 1992, Stan Twight Reserve has long been a hub for a variety of sports, with cricket and football being the sports calling the reserve home since 2009.

It was named in honour of Stan Twight, a respected local sporting figure who helped form Rockingham’s first cricket team and dedicated years of service to grassroots sports in WA.

The project was funded by the City of Rockingham with $1 million from the State Government through its Community Sporting and Recreation Facilities Fund, and $50,000 each from WA Football and the AFL and WA Cricket and Cricket Australia.

Shoalwater Bay Cricket Club will move into the new pavilion for the 2025/26 summer season, while Safety Bay Football Club and Rockingham District AFL Masters will kick off their first winter season in 2026.
