A man from Oakford has come forward as the owner of a Saturday Lotto ticket worth more than $1 million.
The ticket was one of two Saturday Lotto Division One prizes sold just over a week ago, with this ticket bought from Byford Newsagency.
The man in his 50’s said his main focus will be to look after his family, however, did flag another first purchase.
“I need a new lawn mower and I think we will buy some Chinese to celebrate,” he said.
“My brother plays Powerball, so I said I’ll do Saturday Lotto.”
That decision to play Saturday Lotto led him to become WA’s 61st Division One winner for 2021.
“Almost $118 million has been shared between these Division One winners,” Lotterywest spokesperson James Mooney said.
“As we head towards the end of 2021, we would love to welcome a winner following Thursday night’s $40 million Powerball draw.”
