Rockingham Detectives are continuing to investigate a serious assault in Baldivis that saw a 17-year-old boy lose part of his finger.
Police say the teenager was with some friends at a bus stop on Nairn Drive near Clyde Avenue between 4pm and 5pm on Monday, May 6 when they were approached by a group of males.
"A verbal and physical altercation took place, with the 17-year-old and his friends being chased by the group," a WA Police spokesperson said.
"During the incident the 17-year-old male sustained a permanent injury to his hand when part of a finger was taken off."
Detectives are investigating if the assault is linked to several disturbances in the area of Settlers Avenue, Safety Bay Road and Nairn Drive in Baldivis, that occurred on the same day between 3pm and 5.30pm.
