Peel Thunder have secured their first win of the 2025 WAFL season, defeating Swan Districts by five-points in an away clash at the weekend.
Despite kicking just one goal the entire second half of the game, the reigning premiers managed to clinch the 7.11 (53) to 6.12 (48) win, boosting them up to seventh on the WAFL ladder.
Coach Adam Read said they were stoked to come home with a win.
"Fantastic to get our first win of the season, really tough place to win out at Bassendean against a good Swan Districts team," Read said.
"Really pleasing for a lot of our younger players who are in their first few games of league footy and it was really exciting to see them celebrate after the game."
Fremantle-listed players Neil Erasmus (30 disposals) and Liam Reidy (49 hit-outs, 16 disposals) stood out for Peel while Bailey Banfield was reported for striking.
The Thunder take on East Perth in another away clash on Saturday, May 3.
