Police are urgently hunting for a stolen ute involved in a hit-and-run in Port Kennedy.
It is understood three offenders entered a home on Montpellier Mews just before 6am on Wednesday and stole the keys to a white Isuzu D-Max ute which was parked in the driveway.
"As the offenders were in the process of driving off in the stolen vehicle, the owner, a 59-year-old man, attempted to stop them and was run over," a WA Police spokesperson said.
"The victim sustained serious injuries and was conveyed to Royal Perth Hospital for medical treatment."
Rockingham Detectives urge anyone who sees or has information relating to the whereabouts of the stolen white Isuzu D-Max utility (pictured), with WA registration FD664, to contact police immediately on 131 444.
