Police have rescued an elderly couple from a burning car near Harvey.
A man in his 80s was towing a caravan on the South Western Highway around 10.30am on Saturday when he failed to negotiate a bend and crashed.
The car and the caravan then burst into flames.
Two Harvey police officers managed to free the man and woman from the burning car.
The driver suffered facial burns and was flown to Fiona Stanley Hospital for treatment.
The passenger received minor injuries and was taken to Harvey Hospital.
But for the swift action of two Harvey Police Officers, freeing two trapped occupants from a burning car, the outcome would have been unimaginable.
