Residents asked to share feedback on new bus services to support Byford Station

Community consultation is now open on new and amended bus routes to support the METRONET Byford Station.

The changes will include improvements in general frequency and operating hours, with 10 more buses servicing an additional 445,000km a year.

The proposed bus network will feature seven new and modified bus routes operating at the new Byford Station; increased operating hours in Byford, Whitby and Mundijong; and a new bus route to service Hilbert.

"The new train station in Byford is going be a game changer for the community, and the enhanced bus network will be critical to connecting people to our world-class rail network," Transport Minister Rita Saffioti said.

"Not only will the changes support connectivity to the new station, but they will also see new services in growing suburbs for the first time.

"It is important the community take their time to review and provide their feedback on these changes to ensure the bus network best aligns with community needs."

The community can provide feedback at www.mysaytransport.wa.gov.au.

The consultation period closes 16 June 2025.

Final routes as well as timetables for train services and the supporting bus network for surrounding suburbs will also be made available before passenger services start when the remainder of the Armadale Line opens later this year.
