Authorities are currently searching for a suspected shark attack victim off Port Beach in North Fremantle.
The person, a man in his 50s, was reportedly attacked around 10.10am on Saturday.
Witnesses who saw the attack alerted other swimmers to get out of the water and contacted emergency services.
A sea and air search is now underway.
Port Beach and all beaches from Leighton Dog Beach to Sand Tracks Beach have been closed.
The search will continue on Sunday if the man is not found today.
