The Department of Health has shutdown a general store in Singleton over illicit tobacco and vape sales.
The Singleton General Store on Fitch Street was raided late last month under new laws which gives the department power to temporarily close a premises if they are found to be selling illicit tobacco or vape products.
The store has been shutdown for three months and will be allowed to reopen on December 28.
A store on Robinson Road in Rockingham was also closed for three months in late September.
The maximum penalty for possession of a large commercial quantity of illicit tobacco and vaping products is $4.2 million for an individual or $21 million for a company, and 15 years imprisonment.
The reforms are aimed at disrupting organised criminal activity linked to the illicit tobacco and vape trade.
