WA Election: Rhys Williams wins seat of Mandurah

Rhys Williams is the new Member for Mandurah following Saturday's State Election.

With over 63 per cent of the votes counted in the Mandurah district, Mr Williams recorded 11,814 votes compared to Liberal's Kaye Seeber with 7903, two-party preferred. 

The former Mandurah mayor takes the reigns from retiring David Templeman who had been the Member for Mandurah for the past 24 years.

DAWESVILLE

In Dawesville, Labor's Lisa Munday looks set to retain her seat.

With over 70 per cent of votes counted, Ms Munday is leading Liberal's Owen Mulder by 438 votes.

MURRAY-WELLINGTON

The seat of Murray-Wellington is still too close to call.

Labor's Robyn Clarke has held the seat since 2017 but with less than half the votes counted, Ms Clarke is tracking just behind Liberal's David Bolt.

The ABC election tracker shows the Shire of Murray President is on track to win leading by an estimated 702 votes.

SECRET HARBOUR

With 58 per cent of the votes counted Paul Papalia retains his seat in Secret Harbour.

Mr Papalia currently sits on 12,229 votes, clearly leading Liberal's Mark Jones' 6968, two-party preferred.

ROCKINGHAM

Magenta Marshall was another clear winner for Labor, retaining the seat of Rockingham with 70 per cent of the vote counted.

She leads Liberal's Hayley Edwards by 4643 votes, two-party preferred.

BALDIVIS

Reece Whitby has also retained his seat of Baldivis. 

With only 40 per cent of the voted counted, Mr Whitby currently sits on 7693 votes compared to Liberal's Dylan Mbano on just 3766, two-party preferred.
