A 35-year-old man has been sentenced to 20 years in prison after assassinating Rebels bikie boss Nick Martin.
The Waikiki man, whose identity is suppressed, appeared in the WA Supreme Court on Monday after pleading guilty to four charges including Martin's murder.
He will be eligible for parole after 18 years.
The court heard the former soldier was paid to carry out the public execution which happened at the Perth Motorplex in Kwinana on December 12, 2020.
He was arrested at his Waikiki home in March after an extensive investigation by Taskforce Ravello.
The killer was not handed a life sentence because he agreed to cooperate with prosecutors and testify against the man who allegedly paid him to carry out the shooting, Rebel turned Comanchero David Pye.
