A Mandurah man has been charged after leading police on a high-speed pursuit across Perth yesterday.
Police became aware of an alleged stolen Nissan Coupe travelling on Neerabup Road in Neerabup around 10am on Thursday morning.
It's believed the 31-year-old driver stole the vehicle from the Mandurah area on May 2.
Officers allege they attempted to stop the vehicle, but the driver sped away.
The driver continued to evade police through several suburbs, allegedly reaching speeds 45km/hr over the limit.
Police also allege the driver drove recklessly through red lights and oncoming traffic before a stinger device was deployed near Trigg and the car was finally stopped.
The driver then proceeded to evade police on foot before police cars caught up to him.
The Mandurah man has since been charged with several offences including reckless driving to escape pursuit by police, no authority to drive, and stealing.
He is due to appear in Perth Magistrates Court on June 1.
