A woman is fighting for life and another seriously injured after a car crashed into the back of their horse-drawn cart in Mundijong.
The pair were travelling in the buggy along Soldiers Road near Norman Road around 12pm on Thursday when they were hit from behind by a black Jeep Grand Cherokee.
A 65-year-old woman, who was the driver of the cart, suffered serious injuries and remains in Royal Perth Hospital in a critical condition.
Her 30-year-old passenger also suffered serious injuries and is in a stable condition.
The driver of the Jeep, a 30-year-old woman, was not injured.
Sadly, one horse had to be euthanised at the scene while the other survived the crash.
