Works begin on Stan Twight Reserve clubroom redevelopment

Works are underway on the Stan Twight Reserve clubroom redevelopment.

The original clubhouse was built in 1992 and is home to the Shoalwater Bay Cricket Club, Safety Bay Stingers Football Club, and the Rockingham Masters AFL Club.

The redevelopment will include the demolition of the existing clubhouse building, constriction of a new clubhouse and changeroom, upgrade to floodlighting and an extension to the existing car park.

Local company Shelford Constructions is carrying out the works, with the State Government, WA Football Commission, WA Cricket, Cricket Australia and the local clubs themselves contributing to the cost of the redevelopment. 

City of Rockingham Mayor Deb Hamblin, with Ian Daniels (CoR),  Steven Rose (WA Football Commission), Tristan Fuller (Shelford) and club members. 

“The much-needed new clubroom and changeroom will meet the current and future needs of the sporting clubs based at Stan Twight Reserve, and help the City maximise use of this facility in line with expected participation trends," City of Rockingham Mayor Deb Hamblin said.

Construction is scheduled for completion by the end of 2025.
