Over 25,000 roses will be on sale tomorrow, Thursday, May 22, for 65 Roses Day, a fundraiser supporting those living with cystic fibrosis in WA.
Currently, there are over 400 West Australian adults and children battling every day with the life-threatening disease, which has no cure.
The money raised assists Cystic Fibrosis WA (CFWA) in providing vital support services such as helping families with treatment at home.
It also enables life-changing research, with $2 million dollars recently pledged to fund WA-based CF Research in 2025.
65 Roses Day is CFWA’s biggest annual fundraising event, selling thousands of fresh and digital roses across the state in support of people living with cystic fibrosis.
“The name, 65 Roses, originates from a small boy's attempt at saying cystic fibrosis, and is still what some children with CF call their disease," CEO of CFWA Lisa Bayakly said
"It causes thick, sticky mucus which affects the lungs, airways and digestive system. It is one of the most common and complex, life-limiting diseases affecting children and adults in Australia and there is still no cure."

Ms Bayakly said there will be plenty of locations between Mandurah and Rockingham where locals can purchase a rose on Thursday.
"We have got about 1500 being sold in Mandurah tomorrow, they're beautiful long stem roses for $6," she said.
"People can get along to Mandurah Forum, Mandurah Toyota, Rockingham Bunnings, Oakwood Primary, Mandurah Baptist College and Terry White Chemist and Coffee Cove in Pinjarra and Mandurah.
"Also for the first time, people can go along to Grill'd in Mandurah who are running a special meal deal with a rose included."
