All ANZAC Day services have been cancelled.
Several RSLs across WA say they had to cancel their services on Sunday April 25 because of the cost of State Government requirements to maintain safe venues.
Rockingham RSL President Ian Brook said holding a dawn service takes months of planning and they do not have the resources to be able to host a service under the COVID-19 restrictions.
"The City of Rockingham RSL Subbranch is a small non for profit RSL that is solely ran by volunteer veterans," he posted on Facebook.
"The planning of such a large event is one that takes several months.
"As veterans we cherish the Rockingham ANZAC services that our club has provided the local community for decades.
"This decision was not made easily and was made with a very heavy heart.
"We understand and sympathise with the community at this upsetting outcome as we too cherish the memories of marching with our families, remembering our fallen comrades and paying our respects to our ancestors the original Anzacs."
Rockingham RSL will instead be hosting a ticketed event from 10am, limited to 300 people.
"The service will still be the same beautiful, respectful service that we have provided every year, just at a smaller scale and different venue to what we as a community have been used to for the past decades in Rockingham," Mr Brook said.
Port Kennedy's dawn service has also been cancelled.
Dawn services will still be going ahead at the Mandurah War Memorial from 5.30am for a 6am start, at Dawesville's memorial from 5.50am and the Pinjarra war memorial at 6am.
Mandurah's ANZAC Day march will commence at 10.30am starting from the post office on the corner of Pinjarra Road followed by an 11am service at the war memorial.
Those attending are asked to scan their SafeWA app at various check in points along the march route and at the memorial.
