The City of Rockingham's largest ever community infrastructure project is now complete.
The final stage of the Baldivis Sports Complex has been unveiled which includes the Southern Pavilion, outdoor hard courts for tennis and netball and an outdoor recreation space featuring a skate park, nature place, adventure/water and sensory play areas and an obstacle course.
City of Rockingham Mayor Lorna Buchan said the completion of the project reflects the City’s vision for a quality lifestyle and strong community connections.
“Completion of this project marks a proud moment for our City. The Baldivis Sports Complex is now a fully realised district-level facility that will serve our growing community for generations to come,” Mayor Buchan said.
“It is also a clear example of how we are delivering on our community’s aspirations and overall vision of creating a quality lifestyle for our residents.”
Completion of the Baldivis Sports Complex represents a landmark achievement for Baldivis and the broader Rockingham community.
The $45 million project has been more than 15 years in the making.
Expressions of interest are now open for sporting and community groups to activate these spaces.
