A 22-year-old man has suffered serious injuries following a police pursuit in Wellard overnight.
Police allegedly tried to stop a black Subaru Liberty sedan on Runnymede Gate around 11.30pm on Tuesday, but the driver allegedly sped off.
After a short chase, the Subaru collided with a tree.
The driver was taken to Fiona Stanley Hospital with serious injuries.
Officers from the Major Crash Investigation Section are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
