Early voting centres are now open for the Rockingham by-election.
Rockingham residents don't have to wait for polling day on July 29 to cast their vote on who should replace Mark McGowan.
Applications for postal voting also remain open with more than 2000 Rockingham electors already applying for a postal vote.
“Early voting is open to any eligible voter who either can’t vote on election day or prefer not to attend a polling place on election day. You don’t need a special reason to vote early,” WA Electoral Commissioner Robert Kennedy said.
“Early voting is open from today until the day before the election.”
Votes can be cast from July 12-28 at the following early voting centres:
Rockingham
Address: 5/8-10 Commodore Drive, Rockingham
Open: Weekdays 8am-6pm
Saturday 22 July 8am-6pm
Thursday 27 July 8am- 9pm
This location will remain open as a polling place from 8am-6pm on election day, Saturday 29 July.
Perth
Address: WA Electoral Commission
Level 2, 111 St Georges Tce, Perth
Open: Weekdays 8.30am-4.30pm
Friday 28 July: 8:30am - 6pm
As with all State elections, voting is compulsory for people enrolled in the Rockingham electoral district.
