Sporting and community groups in the City of Kwinana can now apply for grants of up to $5000.
The funding can be used to purchase equipment, or go towards minor facility upgrades, projects, workshops and training.
City of Kwinana Mayor Carol Adams said the Kwinana Community Funding Program had enabled local sporting and community groups to experience a greater level of local support since it began in 2017.
“Local groups can apply for financial support to run programs, projects, workshops and training, or to purchase equipment,” Mayor Adams said.
Kwinana Community Chest Trustee John Iriks said the Kwinana Community Funding Program provided financial support to community groups within the City that meet the program’s objectives in facilitating community development.
“The Program welcomes applications of up to $5000 from local community organisations to support capacity building and community engagement projects that will be undertaken within Kwinana,” Mr Iriks said.
The current round of funding is open until September 21.
