Floodlighting at the Lark Hill Sportsplex in Port Kennedy is set to under a $3 million upgrade.
Lark Hill Sportsplex is a major multi-purpose sporting hub in the City of Rockingham with its 26 hectares of playing space home to seven sporting clubs including rugby league, rugby union, softball, teeball, hockey, cricket, and soccer.
It features a synthetic hockey pitch, outdoor multi-use playing areas, and social facilities utilised by communities across the southern suburbs.
The funding will help replace and upgrade ageing floodlighting to ensure teams can continue to train and play in the evenings.
"The Lark Hill Sportsplex is a vibrant hub for local sport, and we're ensuring the teams that call it home can continue to train and play around the clock," Sport and Recreation Minister Rita Saffioti said.
"This investment will upgrade floodlighting across the precinct, futureproofing the facility and providing better conditions for players and volunteers."
