A 21-year-old man has been charged over an alleged attack at a home in Silver Sands.
The accused allegedly got into an altercation with a man in his 60s while brandishing a knife at the property on Tallas Road around 6.50pm on Wednesday, January 21.
The man then allegedly pushed the victim and a woman, also in her 60s, down a set of stairs before stabbing the male victim multiple times with the knife and fleeing the home.
The woman suffered bruising to her body while the man suffered life-threatening injuries and was rushed to Peel Health Campus before being transferred to Royal Perth Hospital for treatment.
Police say the trio are known to each other.
7News reports, the accused was staying at the home with his grandparents at the time.
The 21-year-old Silver Sands man has been charged with aggravated assault occasioning bodily harm and unlawful act or omission with intent to harm.
He was remanded in custody and is due to appear in court in March.
