Police have finally caught up with a man who allegedly held a knife to a teenage girl's throat during a home invasion in Wellard back in 2011.
The accused, Neage Dowad Kuol Dang, allegedly entered the home just before 3am on June 22 and approached the 16-year-old girl who was sleeping in the lounge room.
He allegedly held a knife to her neck to stop her calling for help before stealing various items and leaving the home.
Thirteen years after the incident, detectives from Cold Case Investigations arrested and charged Mr Dang as he arrived at Perth Airport from New South Wales.
The 46-year-old faced the Perth Magistrates Court on Thursday and was denied bail.
He is due to appear in court again on February 20.
