More paramedics, ambulances to be stationed in Dawesville, Australind

More paramedics and ambulances will be stationed in Dawesville and Australind.

The State Government has delivered on their election commitment, allocating $18.7 million in the 2025-26 State Budget to help boost the ambulance workforce and infrastructure in the regions.

Dawesville will receive 10 full time equivalent (FTE) paid paramedics, two new ambulances and upgrades to the existing depot facility. 

Australind will receive five FTE paid paramedics to its hybrid model workforce, two new ambulances and a new depot facility.  

“Our volunteer ambulance workers are critical in a state as large and as diverse as ours, however it’s vital we boost paid paramedics where possible to support our growing and ageing population," Health Minister Meredith Hammat said.

 “This investment will significantly boost resources in the fast-growing Peel and South West regions, ensuring Western Australians continue to get access to timely emergency care when they need it.”
