Peel charity desperately seeks funds to keep doors open

Peel-based charity Invisible Illnesses Inc. are in desperate need of funding in order to keep their doors open.

The charity supports individuals living with invisible illnesses through counselling, support groups, food relief, and safe, judgement-free spaces.

Invisible Illnesses supports more than 120 volunteers who may experience fluctuating capacity, fatigue, chronic pain, sensory sensitivities, anxiety, PTSD, Autism, ADHD, and other invisible conditions.

Founder and CEO Michelle Greenwood said they are 100 per cent self-funded and need the community's help now more than ever.

"Right now, we are facing a $7,000 rent shortfall, and we have just 7 days to raise the funds needed to keep our doors open," she said.

"If we don’t meet this goal, we risk losing the space that so many people rely on every week.

"This isn’t just a building — it’s a place where people feel safe, understood, and supported."
