A mental health service and eating disorder clinic in the Peel region is another step closer with the State Government releasing a tender to fit out the new facility.
The eating disorder clinic at 50 Montsalvat Drive in Greenfields will have its own dedicated entrance within the building along with separate treatment and consultation rooms.
“Community mental health treatment has been shown to have huge benefits for patients and this service will expand services for people in the Peel region," Health and Mental Health Minister Amber-Jade Sanderson said.
“The new facility will provide a safe, efficient, and functional environment that is recovery oriented to meet the contemporary needs of consumers, staff and visitors accessing the facility.”
The new facility is funded as part of the Federal Government's Community Health and Hospitals Program.
The tender closes on December 3 with works to begin in 2025.
