Officers from the Major Crash Investigation Section are investigating a crash that occurred in Yangebup yesterday.
Around 4:40pm, a white Honda moped was riding west on Osprey Drive when the rider lost control and collided with a kerb.
The 24-year-old male rider of the moped was conveyed to Fiona Stanley Hospital but died shortly after arrival.
Major Crash investigators are conducting an examination of the scene and are appealing for witnesses to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or report the information online at www.crimestopperswa.com.au.
