Detectives are yet to find a boy who allegedly punched a man in the face during the Rockingham Foreshore Christmas lights activation last year.
The 34-year-old victim was with his partner on the foreshore around 9.10pm on Friday, December 5, 2025 when he allegedly became involved in a verbal altercation with a group of youths due to their behaviour.
As the man tried to de-escalate the situation and leave the area, one of the youths allegedly struck him in the face.
He suffered serious facial injuries which were treated at Rockingham Hospital.
The investigation is ongoing and detectives wish to speak with members of the public who were in the area at the time of the incident, particularly anyone who saw a male, approximately 16 years old, wearing a grey Nike hoodie and black shorts.
Anyone with information relating to this incident is urged to contact Crime Stoppers online at www.crimestopperswa.com.au or by calling 1800 333 000.
Reports can be made anonymously.
