School holiday fun returns to Mandurah this winter from July 3 to 19.

The Winter in Mandurah program features the much-loved pop-up ice skating rink on the Eastern Foreshore, along with twilight markets, live music, free kids' activities and special winter offerings from local businesses.

City of Mandurah Mayor Amber Kearns said Winter in Mandurah was an ideal time for locals and visitors to find new ways to enjoy the city.

“Whether you’re lacing up your skates, grabbing a hot drink or enjoying the atmosphere along the foreshore, it’s about making the most of the season,” she said.

“If you’ve never tried skating before or you have never been part of the Secret Sounds of the City, this is your time.”

Mayor Kearns said the program also played an important role in supporting local businesses during the quieter winter period.

“Winter in Mandurah gives people a reason to get together, explore the city and enjoy everything our local businesses have to offer,” she said.

“Bring the kids, bring your friends, bring your grandparents – there’s something for everyone.”

Tickets are now on sale for Skating in Mandurah, with the rink open daily from 9am throughout the school holidays.

Skating sessions run for 45 minutes and start every hour, on the hour.

The rink is perfect for beginners, with ‘Kanga’ push-along skating aids available to help first timers find their feet on the ice.

It is also wheelchair accessible.

The Winter in Mandurah program includes Winter in Mandurah Markets on Friday nights throughout July, and a range of rides, amusements, entertainment, and daily family friendly activities on the Eastern Foreshore during the school holidays.

Secret Sounds of the City will also return, with live performances every fortnight across June, July and August, showcasing Mandurah’s hospitality scene alongside local and touring musical talent.
