A Rockingham woman is now $1.69 million richer after taking out a Saturday Lotto division one prize.
The woman recently claimed her prize when the numbers she has been playing for 30 years were the winning numbers in the draw on May 17.
Thanks to her ticket being registered, purchased via Lotterywest Play Online, the woman received a life-changing call from Lotterywest with the good news the following Monday.
The winner said she was working at home when she received the call, and had to go outside where the signal was better to hear properly.
“I was in total shock when I got the call, I could not believe it,” the winner said.
“I was in disbelief. It’s life changing.”
The woman quickly headed inside to share the good news with her wife, and they have been celebrating ever since.
The couple, who are in the early stages of building a house, can now create their dream home, and the winner plans to reduce her workload to three days a week.
“It’s something I had hoped would be possible down the track, now I can really make it happen.”
