Australian jazz and funk band The Cat Empire will be headlining the City of Rockingham's New Year's Eve celebrations on Tuesday, December 31.
The evening will kick off at 5pm with roaming entertainment, children’s activities, amusement rides and food vendors along with two fireworks displays at 9pm and midnight.
The Cat Empire will be lighting up the stage after the 9pm fireworks followed by Big Horn Productions who will lead a countdown to the midnight fireworks.
The event is part of the City's Summer Series which will feature a fun-filled program of free, family-friendly events until March 2025.
This includes the Christmas Lights Launch on December 6, Celebrate Australia Day on January 26, Symphony on the Green on February 22 and Performance in the Park February 23.
City of Rockingham Mayor Deb Hamblin encouraged community members to get involved this summer.
“The City’s Summer Series provides an opportunity for the Rockingham community to get out and about this summer season, to connect with each other and engage in fun, outdoor activities at the City's foreshores, parks and reserves,” Mayor Hamblin said.
