Police have confirmed they have located a body believed to be missing man Robert John Snyder.
The 62-year-old left his home in Melville on October 24, 2025 and was believed to be travelling to Herron near Mandurah but never arrived.
Mr Snyder's white Subaru Forester was last seen on Thomas Road in Oakford the same day.
Nearly five months after his disappearance, police received a report on Friday, March 6, that a white Subaru Forester was found abandoned on a bush track in the Jarrahdale State Forest.
"Human remains were located in close proximity to the abandoned vehicle," a WA Police spokesperson said.
"Formal identification is yet to be completed but it is believed to be that of a 62-year-old man Robert John Snyder, who was reported missing on Friday, 24 October 2025.
"The circumstances do not appear suspicious, and a report will be prepared for the Coroner."
